St Vincent’s home for disabled children is one of the only specialised homes in the region. It is small and personable providing essential care to children with a variety of conditions that make living at home impossible. The home is affiliated to a local government school so the children share classes and freely mix with their able bodied peers. *see more*

On my only visit this year (2016) I was humbled by the ‘Yes I Can’ attitude of the children and staff.

With no government funding the home depends on fees that have to be extracted from families, many of whom themselves live well bellow the poverty line. St Vincent’s often struggles to put food on the table yet alone afford necessary equipment.

Karibuni Kids provide some children at St Vincent’s with life-changing surgery that can only be carried out at specialised hospitals, and at great expense. A colleague and I also informally provided some help to fill their gap in funding for after care, some equipment and occasionally food.

At the moment Karibuni Kids can only take donations through PayPal via my mail@oliverlynton.net account. Please be sure to put St Vincents in the payment reference if you are not using the link above.

Thank you.
